Two Citizen’s Advisory Group (CAG) meetings have been held since the last time the public gathered in September.  The identified stakeholders represent agriculture, the environment, local businesses, homeowners, surface and regional transportation, emergency vehicle services and other segments of the community.

The CAG members have actively discussed and identified preliminary East Side Highway corridors for continued development. As has been indicated at the stakeholder meetings, these are the first “pencil-to-paper” takes on possible corridors locations. The group continues to utilize the project purpose in testing corridor candidates and refining alternative for locations.  To view some of the engineering considerations for the evaluation of alternates click here.

At the second CAG meeting held on November 6th, a range of preliminary alternatives were identified for further screening. The project team will refine these corridors, add suggestions from the Project Study Group (PSG) and present them to the CAG and the PSG for consensus before presenting them to all project stakeholders at a public meeting. Then next public meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 2008.   A list of CAG members can be viewed here.
